The collection of the U. Nahon Museum of Italian Jewish Art, holds nearly 3,000 items. While a significant part of the collection consists of Judaica items - menorahs, torah finials, coronets, scrolls of Esther, etc. - there are many other items in the collection. The treasures kept in the collection and displayed in the museum represents most of the Jewish communities that lived in Italy during almost 2000 years of exile.

The earliest item in the collection - a stone tablet engraved with the inscription "Know before whom you stand" - dates from the 14th century, while the latest item - a work of art by the artist Leo Contini (1939-2020) - was created only a few years ago.  The collection also includes several items of national and international importance, such as the oldest torah ark in Israel, and one of the oldest in the world, dated to 1543; the oldest parochet (torah ark curtain) in the world, dated 1572; letters written by Binyamin Ze'ev Herzl, and more.
